Product Introduction
PVC's pure resin is prone to decomposition during processing, has poor fluidity, low impact strength, and poor weather resistance. Therefore, various auxiliary materials need to be added during processing to improve its performance, such as lubricants, thermal stabilizers, impact modifiers, and processing aids.
In the development and application of processing aids, they can be roughly divided into several categories based on product composition: methyl methacrylate (MMA)/acrylate copolymers, MMA/styrene copolymers, acrylonitrile/styrene, etc. The most widely used and effective is the MMA/acrylate copolymer.
The main functions of processing aids are:
1) Accelerating the plasticization process of PVC.
2) Improving the rheological properties of the thermoplastic melt.
3) Enhancing the mechanical properties of the melt under thermoplastic conditions.
4) Improving the overall appearance quality of the products.
